On Flipboard

Scripting News:

First the conclusion — eh — not so great. But maybe if they move forward in an interesting way, this version can be the foundation for something that leads the market in an interesting direction. But right now, I don’t plan to use it, and I don’t think very many people will use it, after the initial rush has died down.

And reminds me of this uttered adageThis [web browser] is just dumb. It is like FTP, but I can only get one file at a time. Why would anyone want to use this…what did you call it?…’World Wide Web’?

I agree with Andy IhnatkoFlipboard is fan-TASTIC.

It’s not an app designed to present a complete, comprehensive listing of your feeds. Rather, it plucks out previews and highlights, photos and text from links, then arranges them in an attractive magazine style presentation.

Not sure if pointing it to an RSS feed is an alluring enough option, though, assuredly, an ability to add OPML channels, in addition to existing feature that allows entry of Twitter lists, would be extremely enticing.
