Congress does not have the moral will or political courage to do what is right. Republicans continue to demand tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts, knowing full well that the Reagan and Bush era tax cuts are partially responsible for the current economic nightmare we now face. Instead of cutting spending, while at the same time reducing taxes, the Republicans grew the Federal government at an unprecedented rate. And yet, they STILL continue to demand more tax cuts. Their fiscal polices have failed miserably, and more tax cuts will only make a dire situation worse. Democrats don’t seem to get get it either. Supposedly, the Economic Stimulus Bill was supposed to be about federal funds being spent to directly provide jobs for the those not working. (WPA style perhaps) Instead of demanding that the Economic Stimulus Bill focus on infrastructure spending and job creation, the Bill became another Same Old Shit Bill… …filled with additions that do little, if anything, to help boost the economy. Democrats listened to the whining Republicans and filled the Bill with tax cuts. Bruce Droppings
