I was afraid this conversation would turn out like this - a pissing match to see whether the left or the right was the pure entity and thus the other must be the scum of the earth. It’s not what I want, nor what I intended in my critique.

Assuming all elements of the other side are the same as their worst portions, or “highlighting” their foibles by taking their propaganda and multiplying by pi, only pushes us further into division and farther from unity - which, I hope we can all agree, should be a goal of all Americans.
Now you’re simply handwaving and framing the dialogue as a “he said, she said, let’s leave it there” typology.
My post was not about which side was the “pure entity” in the matter, just that you continue to echo a false equivalency. That while you may allude to some anecdotal tales of similar implicit allusions of inciting violence, you fail to acknowledge that those voices on the left are shunned by the Democratic party. Whereas Republican party leaders are lickspittle to such agents of intolerance.
