Tumblr Explorer v. Tumblr Directory Tuesday ☀
… but the overwhelming majority of stuff on the Tumblr Explore is utter drivel and so I, and probably anyone I would hope to find/reach, will probably not end up appearing in/checking it very frequently.
Idea I am pitching: Tumblr Explore: No Kidz Zone Edition. Only text posts over 500 words in length appear.
I second this proposal—except I’m going to call it Tumblr Explore: A Thousand Words are Worth As Much A Picture
Although I was just getting into a groove, crafting a Tumblr Crush (or most recent or eldest /followed) snapshot “share” post each Tuesday, scrapping a system that “tags” entire Tumblr blogs instead of particular posts is a sagacious improvement. It always seemed ill fitting that AZspot was hoisted into the Politics category, when posts here fall across the boundaries of various interlocking thought brackets — not just politics, but religion, spirituality, Christian aphorisms, ancient aphorisms, culture, history, technology, futurism, science, Arizona, literature, media, consciousness, neuroscience, meta-news, ecology, economics, war, peace, philosophy, ethics, oddities, games and even on occasion, breaking news and sports.
However, the Tumblr Explore dashboard is populated by just a small sampling of tags, and I am inclined to believe the Heisenberg principle will preclude flourishing tag diversity.
Oh, and does anybody want to help me affix tags to 23K+ AZspot posts?
