I am Christian because in spite of all of the evil done by the church, in the name of God, I still see beauty in this story. I see a vision for a world where those things don’t happen. I see a vision for a new heaven and a new earth: not in an otherworldly way but here and now, that the kingdom of God is within and among us. I am a Christian because I want desperately to follow in the way of Christ. And I am a Christian because even though I so often don’t follow in that way I believe that there is grace and forgiveness and the ability to start again. This Is Why I Am A Christian ☀
