15” MacBook Pro or 27” iMac?

Why?

MBP would plug into ~7 year old ACD that might not have much life left (or perhaps it does) and also a need for another special adapter.

Notes

  1. Steve (Brianna's Pops) answered: if you’ve got keyboard and monitor, Mac Mini. Just swapped my 10 year old G4 tower out for one, and I love it. I
  2. jeffmiller answered: If you do most of your intensive work at your desk, get the iMac
  3. silouan answered: My new brain is a 13” MacBook Pro, exactly the right size for easy portability and writing. For dev/design I plug in a cheap/big LCD screen.
  4. gilmoure answered: I’d go with 27” iMac. It’s quad core processor is very fast. eBay the monitor.
  5. petersantiago answered: Both! But if you have to choose the macbook pro. The 27inch imac is beautiful so I understand your angst.
  6. danielholter answered: All about portability now… neither would hold you back in terms of power. I love my MBP with LED display. LOVE.
  7. theshalom answered: Like kevin said, it depends on how mobile you plan on being. Personally, I’d go with the MBP, but only because I already have a desktop.
  8. tumblklaat answered: if ur doing design or anything serious splurge out on a mac pro or high end pc. if its just for fun stuff that new imac is NICE
  9. kevin answered: How mobile do you want to be? The 27” iMac is a badass machine.
