The news meltdown is a microcosm of the reversal of education. You could make a point that as we came out of the dark ages, education was the only way a man could rise through the ranks and become part of the upper class. Remember when reading, music, language and arts were controlled by the ruling class? The idea of news is what fueled democracy. Start silencing the muckrakers, whistleblowers, investigators and protesters and you get official pap, dumbing down, entertainment instead of education etc etc.… RYP ☀
