We Interrupt this Tumblr Stream to Report (Again) an Extremely Annoying Tumblr Bookmarklet Bug ☀
A gripe post of interest only to Tumblr devotees, so if you’re not so inclined, “nothing to see here, move along”.
For a love of all that is righteous, please Tumblr developer(s), fix the bookmarklet bug where selected and copied text for a link post is stripped of “href” attributes for link (“a”) tags. The “a” tag remains, but the “href” attribute goes poof, leaving a highlighted link to nowhere. In addition, sometimes the space preceding the highlighted text is erroneously deleted.
Manually adding a half-dozen links back into this recent post was an exercise of painstaking tedium. It felt like I was back in 2001 editing raw blog post HTML.
