Don’t get on that ship Mr. Beck ☀
Keith Olbermann’s BEST Slamming Of Glenn Beck Ever!I’m sorry, but I found this childish and not worthy of real journalism (sorry, Keith Olbermann). In what way does this piece help bring rationality back into the debate? I would have had much more respect for Mr. Olbermann if, instead of mocking Glenn Beck, he had pointed out how ridiculous the insinuations are with rational arguments - then we would have had great journalism.
Although I’ve been a fan of Keith Olbermann, his Countdown show is almost unwatchable for me. For he has donned the role of a ranting clown, no different than the blowhards on the other corporatist media channels he regularly ridicules. Even if he’s a much more talented performer than them.
However, in this instance, he delivers a righteous riotous routine.
The rantings of Glenn Beck merit an out-an-out mocking. To respond with “rational arguments” is to elevate ridiculous ravings into a credible counter-argument. No, the invective hurled by Beck deserves not to be presented as critical debate, but as jeers of a clown.
I watched the video 3 times and was nearly brought to tears of hilarity upon each viewing. Especially the concluding segment with the Blazing Saddles clip and resultant Olbermann “It’s a cookbook!” crack.
Sorry, but if you don’t find it funny I have to question whether or not you possess a sense of humor. Like, you might not really be human. Either that or you’re a diehard Glenn Beck disciple offended at these that impugn Beck and his Project 912 “truth”^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hact.
A greater tragedy is the existence of a large set of loyal Glenn Beck fans choosing to wade in ignorance.
