Arizona is the cure for ‘hoplophobia' ☀
Arizona – which this week hosts the National Rifle Association’s convention – is like a Petri dish in which we’ve tested the clichés about firearms. Under Arizona law, for example, just about any adult can walk around with a weapon clipped to his or her belt.
Firearms opponents would say that such an availability of guns could make Arizona the most dangerous place in the U.S.
Firearms enthusiasts would claim just the opposite, saying our preponderance of weapons could make Arizona the safest state in America.
It turns out that neither is true.
